If you are pregnant at Christmas then you should definitely consider doing a Christmas belly painting. It will make those Christmas photos more memorable and you’ll have lots of fun during the process. It’s also quite a unique way to do Christmas preparations this year as being pregnant on Christmas may be once in a lifetime event.
If you are crafty then you can probably come up with your own ideas on what to draw but still, it is worthy seeing other belly pictures for inspiration. Checking out what other moms to be have painted on their belly is especially useful when you don’t have many ideas or have some but you wonder if they are difficult to do.
I have included here various types of belly drawings: from very professional looking to simple ones that anyone can do. If you are a perfectionist you can hire an artist to do the drawing or you can persuade your husband, kids or family to do this activity.
Whatever you decide to draw on your belly it will be awesome – guaranteed by that sweet bump you have!
Christmas Tree Belly Art
This Christmas belly tree drawing may look complicated at first glance but really it is just a matter of having the patience for drawing the details. You can see there are mostly swirls and circles included and I believe everyone is capable of drawing this kind of tree. It may take a longer time but it does look gorgeous!
Cute Teddy Belly Painting
This is melting my heart how cute it is! With the blue background it is simply adorable.
If you have drawing skills then you should have no problems recreating this scene. But if you don’t, you should probably find someone who can. The cuteness of this teddy bear will not be so easy to reproduce. But it will be worth the effort when you take those once in a lifetime photos. You’ll be so proud!
A simple but very joyful pregnancy belly painting. No complex forms or shapes to draw and we have all drawn a snowman in our lives, right? Just get those belly painting colors (I have selected a few belly painting kits at the bottom of this post) and get to it, nothing complicated to do.
This is an encouraging belly painting for keeping up the positive spirit during the holidays and the pregnancy period. In the midst of the snowflakes, there is writing: Believe. I love it! Being positive is a great attitude in life and it can truly bring you good things in your life.
You can use this picture as an inspiration for writing your favorite quote or word on the belly. As I can see there are some kind of beads attached to the snowflakes – another great idea for decorating your baby bump for Christmas.
If you have another child you can both have fun when creating your belly bump painting. As you can see on this image, your other child can make footprints on your belly and you can (your husband, sister, friend or other family members) draw whatever decorations you like around them.
What a truly unique painting idea! And you’ll have both of your kids leave a mark on your body (the baby and the footprints). These photos will be immortal :).
Not a hard painting to do and it looks absolutely lovely. I get a very specific feeling when looking at it, it’s as if the lines are almost dancing and smiling at me. Very cheerul looking picture and I love the way the belly is turned into an imaginary ornament. Very pretty one!
Now you have no excuse at all! Literally anyone can do this belly painting and just look how great it looks. If you combine it with some cute clothes and background you’ll have unique Christmas pregnancy photos that are truly easy to do.
This is another super easy belly bump painting idea. Even if you can’t draw at all, this picture is doable for you (or your husband most probably). People come up with some awesome ideas that are simple but do make a statement on Christmas photos. If I didn’t see it who knows if it would have ever occurred to me. Great for inspiration.
This is a cute idea to draw on your belly: 2 winter owlets. I can imagine this will be perfect if you are carrying twins. I am not sure you’ll be able to replicate the cuteness though if you are a drawing amateur. I would say if you want this image better get someone who can draw quite well, maybe even a professional.
It seems teddy bears are quite popular as belly bump theme. And it is understandable why: they look so cute and are so appropriate for the occasion.
One way to do it would be to print it on a paper and then somehow map it to the belly or draw by looking at the paper (some people can do this surprisingly good). But if you are not confident in your drawing skills and you want a cute teddy on your belly then you should get someone who can do it professionally.
This is one of my favorite ideas, it just looks so beautiful! What a dreamy and festive image to have on your belly. Only three colors but the image is truly magnificent.
This for all those who love having reindeer as Christmas decor.
This goes into the category: doable by yourself. Simple but look how great this photo turned out. Just a little effort and you’ll have great Christmas pregnancy photos.
What’s a Christmas without a gift wrapped in a bow – and what a gift this lovely bow hides! The best gift one could possibly want. Wrap your belly in this bow drawing and shoot those photos away! Your gift will keep on giving for the rest of your life so present it proudly.
What a simple idea that turned out really cute :). This would be very easy and quick like last minute belly bump painting for Christmas photos.
You can’t really make a mistake whatever you decide to draw! Just do it – you’ll be so glad…
Another simple but pretty painted Christmas baby belly picture. Traditional green and red colors and a great gift hiding under that bow. Although it is simple it’s a very powerful drawing that just stands out and will be the main focus on any photo. What a great way to emphasize the belly bump for Christmas :).
